It’s OFFICIAL! We are now a 501(c)(3) organization. This is great news for The Call to Serve. We have come a long way. We would like to thank Mr. Babyak for all of his help getting us set up. We will also be heading back to Rocky Vine Camp in Missouri mid-August to help with service projects around camp. We are looking to take high school students around the area. If anyone is interested, please contact us at adam@thecalltoserve.org

Here is a video from RockyVine. Check it out. They are doing some great things there. God Bless!

Despite downpours all day and your typical Pittsburgh weather, we had a decent turnout for our first open mic night. A big thank you goes out to Elisa and Dave Panseri, and the Borger family for putting everything together for us. We also want to thank Dunkin Donuts, Panera Bread, and CoCo’s Cupcake Cafe for donating. You can see pictures of the performers by clicking here.

We are currently in the process of building a new, interactive website.

Thank you for visting The Call to Serve website.

The Call to Serve is a 501(c)(3), faith based service organization. The core of the organization is rooted in volunteerism. On May 25, 2009, founding members, Adam Kunes and Andrew Blythe embarked on the organizations 1st month long RV trip. Visiting five states and partnering up with over 15 non-profit organizations, The Call to Serve team successfully  returned to Pittsburgh, PA on June 25, 2009. The Call to Serve team documented their entire trip posting daily photo and video blogs. With the documentary nearing completion, Kunes and Blythe plan to show their film at schools, churches, and any other venues willing to host them.

After receiving 501(c)(3) status in August of 2009, The Call to Serve is well on its way to sending fleets of RVs on volunteer trips. The goal is to expose college students to the “true” need for volunteers with a unique, adventurous spin on service. Not only will The Call to Serve team be involved nationally, but also on a local level in Pittsburgh, PA. CTS will facilitate volunteering for all ages by posting service opportunities to the websites Volunteer Calendar.

Thank you for visiting the website. Please subscribe to the email feed in order to stay tuned to the latest CTS happenings.
