The Call to Serve is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching young adults the power of public service through local and national service trips.  Partnering with a variety of organizations, volunteers from the Call to Serve (CTS) provide service to those in need.  Founded by Adam Kunes and Andrew Blythe, The Call to Serve welcomes all volunteers ready to make a difference in the lives of others.

Service trips offered by CTS provides a unique opportunity for college-aged students to develop new insights into their own historical and global awareness and act upon those insights inspiring them to become productive and compassionate citizens of the world.  CTS has made a direct impact on local communities through its multi-state RV service tour.  In the summer of 2009, CTS dispatched an RV of student volunteers to New York City, NY, Dutzow, MO, New Orleans, LA, Houston, TX, Phoenix, AZ, and San Diego, CA providing service to organizations, which varied from disaster relief efforts to animal shelters.

Within a year, CTS has tripled their amount of volunteers. During the summer of 2010, CTS sent out young adults from across the country to Virginia Beach, VA, Charleston, SC, Savannah, GA, New Orleans, LA, and Dutzow, MO. The Call to Serve team provided service to over ten organizations during their tour. The Summer of 2011 did not disappoint as 9 student volunteers were sent out to Nashville, TN, Austin, TX, New Orleans, LA, Pensacola, FL and Wilmington, NC. In March of 2012, CTS will be introducing “Amazing Break,” an alternative spring break program for college students. The program will be centered around an “amazing race” theme, with volunteering at the core. It will be a truly unique experience for all involved.

While on the road, CTS documents their journey through videos and photos to share their story and raise awareness for the mission of The Call to Serve, but also to encourage others to participate in upcoming trips.
